Client: Mr. Sable
Location: Kalpataru Jade, Baner, Pune
Project: 3 BHK Residential Interior Design
Date: June 2020
Design Studio: Ogling Inches Design Architects
A well-designed home should do more than look beautiful. It should understand how its residents live, entertain, relax and spend time together. Jade House at Kalpataru Jade, Baner, Pune was designed as a sophisticated 3 BHK residence where elegant materials, thoughtful space planning and contemporary detailing come together to create a refined everyday living experience.
The design brief called for a premium home with a classy, contemporary character, while ensuring that every room remained comfortable and practical for everyday family life. The result is an apartment that combines marble, wood, metallic detailing, carefully planned lighting and bespoke furniture with a strong emphasis on proportion and visual continuity.
For homeowners searching for 3 BHK interior design in Pune, this project demonstrates how a premium apartment can be transformed through careful planning rather than simply adding decorative elements.
A Sophisticated 3 BHK Home Interior Design
The design language of Jade House revolves around a restrained palette of rich materials and elegant details. Marble flooring establishes a premium foundation throughout the main living areas, while warm wood tones introduce visual comfort and balance.
Instead of treating each room as an independent space, the interiors were designed as a connected composition. Materials, colours, furniture forms and lighting work together so that the home feels cohesive as you move from the entrance into the living, dining and private areas.
This approach is particularly important in an apartment because the available floor area has to perform multiple functions without making the home feel crowded.
The objective was therefore to create a luxury residential interior design in Pune that feels sophisticated without becoming visually excessive.
An Entrance Designed as the Beginning of the Experience
The entrance was treated as more than just a transition between the common corridor and the apartment. It establishes the personality of the home from the moment one enters.
A carefully considered material palette, bespoke detailing and controlled lighting create a sense of arrival. The entrance also introduces the visual vocabulary that continues through the rest of the residence.
For a premium apartment interior, these transitional spaces are important because they provide the first impression of the home and create a gradual visual connection between the outside and the main living spaces.
Living Room: Contemporary Elegance with Character
The living room is one of the key elements of this 3 BHK apartment interior design in Pune.
The space combines marble surfaces, warm wooden elements, contemporary furniture and layered lighting to create an environment that works equally well for everyday family use and entertaining guests.
A major design consideration was maintaining a sense of openness. Instead of filling the room with unnecessary furniture, the layout was carefully planned around movement, sightlines and the relationship between seating and entertainment areas.
The result is a modern living room interior design that feels spacious while still having a strong visual identity.
One of the distinctive elements of the residence is the use of a dedicated entertainment room. Rather than treating entertainment as an afterthought, the design gives it its own environment, allowing the family to enjoy movies, television and weekend gatherings in a more immersive setting.
This demonstrates an important principle of contemporary home interior design in Pune: luxury is increasingly about creating spaces around the way a family actually lives.
Entertainment Room for Weekend Living
The entertainment room was planned specifically for relaxation and leisure.
The space provides a more intimate environment compared with the formal living areas and is designed around entertainment, comfortable seating and a relaxed atmosphere.
For a 3 BHK home, allocating dedicated space to entertainment can make a significant difference. It allows the formal living room to remain visually clean while providing the family with a comfortable space for everyday recreation.
This separation between formal and informal spaces is one of the key aspects of effective 3 BHK interior design ideas.
Bespoke Furniture and Spatial Planning
Another important part of Jade House is the integration of customised furniture into the overall architecture of the interiors.
Rather than using furniture as isolated pieces, storage, entertainment units and display elements were conceived as part of the interior composition.
This approach allows the available apartment area to be used efficiently while maintaining clean visual lines.
For apartment interior design in Pune, customised furniture becomes particularly valuable because every square metre has to work efficiently. Built-in storage, integrated entertainment units and carefully proportioned furniture can provide significantly more functionality without compromising the aesthetic character of the space.
A Private Bedroom Environment
The bedrooms continue the home’s overall philosophy of understated luxury.
The design uses warm materials, comfortable proportions and controlled colours to create spaces that feel quieter than the common areas. The objective was not to make every room equally dramatic, but to give the private spaces a calmer personality.
This differentiation between public and private areas is an important part of a successful residential interior.
The common spaces create the home’s visual impact, while the bedrooms are designed around comfort, privacy and relaxation.
Lighting as an Architectural Element
Lighting plays an important role throughout Jade House.
Rather than depending on a single central light source, the design uses multiple layers of illumination to enhance materials, furniture and architectural details.
Ambient lighting establishes the overall mood, while focused lighting highlights important surfaces and elements.
In a premium residence, lighting is particularly important because materials such as marble, wood and metallic finishes can look dramatically different depending on the colour temperature, direction and intensity of light.
For this reason, lighting design was considered alongside the architecture and interior finishes rather than being treated as a final installation.
Designing a Premium 3 BHK Within an Apartment
One of the biggest challenges in premium apartment interiors is creating a sense of individuality within a predefined building structure.
The external architecture, structural grid, windows, services and apartment footprint are largely fixed. Interior design therefore becomes an exercise in transforming the existing shell through planning, materials, furniture, lighting and detailing.
At Jade House, the approach was to use these elements collectively to give the apartment a distinct identity.
The result is a residence that feels polished and luxurious while remaining comfortable for everyday living.
What This Project Demonstrates
Jade House is an example of how thoughtful 3 BHK interior design in Pune can combine aesthetics and functionality.
The project brings together:
- Premium marble flooring
- Rich wood finishes
- Contemporary furniture
- Bespoke interior detailing
- Dedicated entertainment space
- Carefully planned spatial circulation
- Layered lighting

For homeowners considering a 3 BHK home interior design, the project demonstrates that luxury does not necessarily come from using more materials or more decoration. It comes from selecting the right materials, proportions, lighting and details and using them consistently throughout the home.
